WHO WE ARE

Founded in 2019, Pick Up The Pace is a 501c3 nonprofit organization focused on building, developing and maintaining the Hampton Roads community.  With the support from the residents and businesses throughout the area, we provide a number of different opportunities for the 757, such as...

1.   Training and skill development courses, focusing on building skills and growing education in different areas such as financial literacy, cooking, health/wellness, and many more

2.  Networking events, focusing on particular career(s), allowing the opportunity to talk and discuss ideas, creating important and impactful decisions, and formalizing specific how-to's with subject matter experts

3.  Community projects that provide meals to those in need throughout Hampton Roads using various methods like local food banks and churches.  We also hit the kitchen to prepare and deliver meals on the streets too.

4.  Community programs that encourage and strengthen good communication amongst our neighbors, that build positive connections throughout our communities, that promote the various ways to maintain and increase a healthy lifestyle, and that improve our abilities to develop our passions through networking.

The goal for Pick Up The Pace is achievable.  The mission is to provide the Hampton Roads area education, resources and formal assistance to create communities of knowledgeable, passionate, resourceful and able people.  We started out slow in 2019 but we look to "Pick Up The Pace" everyday.  With the Hampton Roads community's support, we will be able to assist and enable anyone looking for new opportunities in the area.
